Types of Line Stopping Techniques

  2. Double Line Stop (Without Bypass) – Provides a more secure isolation using two plugging heads, allowing work between two stop points.

  4. Line Stop Through 3-Way Tee – Used where space or configuration requires isolation through a 3-way fitting, minimizing modification to existing lines.

  5. Low Pressure Folding Line Stop – Designed for low-pressure pipelines, this compact system is ideal for temporary isolation under safe conditions.

  6. Petersen Inflatable Line Stop – A quick-deploy inflatable plug system used for low-pressure or emergency isolations.

  7. Double-Double (Four-Point) Line Stop – Provides complete isolation of a section using two double line stops, ensuring maximum safety for complex operations.
